Virgin Media TV’s Sustainable Living Campaign to feature sustainability experts across Ireland AM, Elaine and The Six O’Clock Show
Virgin Media’s new campaign to showcase tips for living a sustainable life over the next 3 days
Monday, 22nd March: Virgin Media continues to raise awareness of ways in which people can live a more sustainable life with expert interviews across a number of their most popular daily shows. On today’s The Six O’Clock Show, wildlife expert Éanna Ní Lamhna is going to talk about the launch of national tree week – including the need to continually replace trees to aid our eco system. Éanna also plans to talk about the importance of bees, and how we can encourage their welfare though our own gardening.
Tomorrow on Ireland AM will see Chef Niall Sabongi from Sustainable Seafood Ireland share a recipe using sustainably-sourced seafood and seasonal vegetables. Wednesday’s edition of the show will follow on from this by showcasing a ‘Guide to Sustainable Gardening’ with Horticulturist Paraic Horkan sharing advice on how to give back to mother nature by planting wildflowers, making insect hotels and even starting your own compost. This will be followed by Elaine where Aoibheann O’Brien, Co-Founder of FoodCloud, a non-profit organisation that redistributes leftover food from supermarkets and businesses to charities, will be on be on the show to talk about the solutions their rolling out across Ireland to help reduce overall food waste.
